The Steps To A Great Project And Experience

Over the years we have learned that great remodeling projects and excellent remodeling experiences are the result of following a very simple plan.  Below are the steps necessary to create a great remodeling project and great remodeling experience.

1
A free - no obligation - consultation in your home.  During this meeting we want to see our starting point or what we have to work with.  We want to hear your needs, wants and dreams for the project.  We also need to answer any questions you may have about us and lastly we need to nail-down the budget for the project.

At the conclusion of this meeting we will present you with a Design Agreement so we can move onto the next steps of the process.

2
After the Design Agreement is authorized, we will schedule a second meeting to get more details of your needs, wants and dreams.  We will also take detailed measurements and photo document the site.  With all this information we can now create as-built drawings, some preliminary design drawings and a preliminary cost analysis for review.

3
At our next meeting we'll present you with our preliminary designs and cost analysis.  There are only two possible outcomes from this meeting.  You will say "I like where this is going - let's press-on" or you will say "I'm not crazy about where this is going - let's make some changes".

We are either headed back to the drawing board to revise the preliminary and redo step 3 or we are going onto step 4.

4
Once you approve the preliminary plans and cost analysis, we move into final design.  This is where a lot of the action takes place.  You are going shopping to select all the materials and products needed for the project and we're going to create the final drawings, specifications and cost schedule.

One more meeting to approve the final design, time schedule, cost schedule and Construction Agreement.  Notice, up until this point neither of us has committed to actually building the project.

Once all the documents are approved, we are now onto the construction phase of the project.

Construction.  During this time we would like to meet face-to-face at least once a week.  Most other communication is handled via email.

7

After the project is completed, we turn the keys over to you.  It is now yours and we'll get out of your way - you've got movin-in to do!

8

We haven't left you just yet.  We schedule a 30 day walk-through of the project and a one year walk-though of the project.  If something is not right - no matter how small - we want to fix it.  That's what these walk-throughs are for.  You must be satisfied after one year before the project is considered a success.
